Floral exploration on square formats. Without axiality, without orientation, without perspective. There is only a desire for colors.
A desire to organize a floral space where the light makes its way through dense and confused vegetation, sketched out so that contrasts of shade play on the texture of the foliage.
The flowers sometimes have a sought-after profile, but at other times they are only suggestions that form abstract bouquets. They’re never completely set, sometimes they’re side-painted and mixed together, sometimes they’re buttoned up, and other times they’re all faded and crumpled. At other times again we see them very beautiful and fresh, all painted with a movement that brings back the spring wind, as if they were animated.
