LouPik
Born in Brest in 2000, LouPik now lives and works in Montpellier. After a year studying at the Avignon Academy of Arts, she continued her artistic exploration across various disciplines.
Immersed in the world of art and travel from a young age, she developed a keen sensitivity to her environment. At a very young age, she began drawing and photography.
Through the lens, she discovered a new way of perceiving the world: photography taught her how to compose images, play with light, and capture the moment, elements that would later influence her pictorial work. She was particularly interested in macrophotography, which gave her a taste for attention to detail.
She later expanded her field of expression to include tattooing, a practice that had fascinated her since adolescence. Little by little, she added painting, discovering a new language within herself, imbued with patience and experimentation.
Through her colorful canvases, LouPik explores textures and superimposes shapes and lines, essential elements of her aesthetic. Her motifs, both precise and instinctive, recall something profoundly organic, suggesting both resonances with the natural world and echoes of biological structures.
Inspired by her travels, the landscapes that have left their mark on her, the books she has read, and the artists who have crossed her path, she transcribes these fragments of memory into her works.
Her work invites free and personal interpretation, because for her, abstract art is above all a unique and intimate experience.
Each viewer confronts the work with their own eyes, feeling what drives them deep within. A living art, constantly evolving, to which LouPik remains passionately attached.
