Les Sœurs VITALI

Rebecca and Olivia Vitali are twin sisters, born on August 24, 1998, in Ermont, France. From an early age, they cultivated a deep sensitivity to the arts and literature, nurtured by an innate curiosity and a keen awareness of their surroundings. Their academic journey began at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University, where they earned a degree in Performing Arts in 2019.

Driven by their passion for storytelling and the written word, the Sœurs Vitali further enriched their knowledge at Saint-Michel Notre-Dame and Aleph Écriture, specializing in literary studies. In 2024, they completed an intensive three-year program at the renowned Cours Florent, honing their mastery of stagecraft and artistic expression.

Alongside their academic pursuits, their painting practice took root and flourished, shaped by years of collaboration and mutual inspiration. Guided by committed, professional painters, they absorbed a culture of rigor, perseverance, and authenticity.

Rather than adhering strictly to academic models, Rebecca and Olivia developed a unique visual language, forged through years of experimentation, learning, and silent dialogue with the canvas.

Their painting draws from a rich and diverse heritage: the symbolic depth of the Renaissance, the theatricality of the Baroque, the gestural freedom of contemporary abstraction, and the vibrant energy of Pop Art.

Each piece becomes a stage where ancient myths, literary echoes, and the expressive body intertwine. The body, often central to their compositions, acts as both subject and vessel, carrying the emotional resonance of their shared imagination.

Creation is for them a fully collaborative process: shared sketches, discussed compositions, crossed perspectives. Working with four hands and two voices, they continually question notions of authorship, blending their distinct personalities into a singular artistic vision.

Through this constant dialogue, Rebecca and Olivia Vitali offer a vibrant, intuitive, and generous body of work—an art that celebrates both individuality and unity in creation.
