MB-Art

Marina aka MB-Art was born in 1983 in Bastia, Corsica, where she continues to live and create today. A self-taught artist, she discovered painting nearly five years ago, during a pivotal moment in her life. Personal upheaval and health challenges led her to reinvent her daily routine, and art became her means of escape and resilience. Painting soon transformed into a vital form of expression, a language through which emotions, strengths, and vulnerabilities could be shared.

Initially through simple sketches, Marina gradually developed a unique visual universe, filled with energy and spontaneity. Her style is firmly rooted in pop art, but with a refreshing, personal twist. MB-Art draws inspiration from popular culture, using iconic figures like the Simpsons, Picsou, and the Pink Panther, infusing them with humor, tenderness, and sometimes irreverence. These familiar icons become, under her brush, reflections of emotions, suspended moments, and colorful daydreams.

Each of MB-Art’s pieces is a fragment of emotion, captured with vividness. Her work is instinctive, driven by the desire to create connections, evoke recognition, smiles, and sometimes nostalgia.
